"Install went great, activation took a few minutes"
The install went smoothly, no real issues there. Activation didn’t happen right away and took maybe 10 or 15 minutes to sort out, but after that everything was fine.

"Pretty decent little router overall"
I picked this up because my old router was getting a bit unreliable, and setup was straightforward. It looks fine on the shelf and the speeds seem okay for normal browsing and streaming. I haven’t really had any major issues most of the time, though every now and then the WiFi randomly drops for a bit, which can be annoying if you’re in the middle of something. So yeah, it works, but I wouldn’t say it’s amazing

"Feels a bit expensive to me"
I could be wrong since I haven’t compared every option out there, but it felt a little pricey for what you get. The deals seem decent at first, then the cost goes up after that. From what I’ve seen, I’m not totally convinced the value is better than some other choices around.

"I had broadband problems for a few days..."
I had broadband problems for a few days, so I ended up ringing eir support. The person I spoke to was nice enough, but it really felt like they were going through a script, restart the router, check the cables, wait 24 hours, all that. Weirdly, I remember the router lights blinking in a pattern that looked like a tiny disco while I was sitting there on hold.

I had to get back onto them again before anything actually moved forward. It did get fixed eventually, so I can’t say it was a total disaster, but it took longer than it should have and I never really got the feeling anyone knew what the issue was. Fine in the end, just not a great experience

"Cancelling Was Way More Frustrating Than Expected"
At first I thought cancelling my contract would be straightforward, but it quickly turned into a headache. The terms weren’t super clear to me, so I went from feeling fine about it to stressed. Support kept passing me around, and every time I thought I was getting somewhere, I’d end up back at square one. I was relieved once it was finally sorted, but the whole process took way too long.

"Billing issue sorted without hassle"
I had a billing problem and expected it to take ages to sort out, but the complaints team got back to me quicker than I thought. The person I spoke to was friendly, explained what had gone wrong, and got it fixed without me having to keep chasing. It saved me a lot of hassle, so I’m happy with how it was handled.

"Helpful support and no fuss"
I had to get in touch with Eir about my broadband bill, and I’ll be honest, I was already assuming it was going to turn into one of those long, awkward calls where you get passed around. But the girl I spoke to was really patient and took the time to explain what was happening without making me feel rushed.

She sorted it out while I was still on the call and even checked over my plan afterwards, which I hadn’t expected. I usually assume these things will be more hassle than they’re worth, so it was a nice surprise to deal with someone who actually listened. Thanks Eir

So far, the bills have been easy enough to understand, and they match what I was expecting. I haven’t noticed any surprises, which is a good sign, right?

"Reliable enough for my work-from-home days"
The broadband has been solid for me overall. I work from home most days, so I notice quickly if the connection starts acting up, but it’s been fast enough and hardly ever drops. I did have one evening where everything slowed down a bit, which was annoying, but apart from that it’s been reliable and does what I need.

"Barely get a signal at home"
The coverage where I live is terrible. Half the time I’m standing by the kitchen window like that’s going to magically help, and calls still drop out of nowhere. Mobile data barely loads too, I tried pulling up a recipe the other night while making pasta and it just sat there spinning. Feels like I’m paying every month for something I can barely use.
